Chevy Impala Windshield Replacement Cost.

On average, a Chevy Impala windshield replacement cost can range from $350 to as much as $600 for an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) glass. These are just average figures and every auto glass shop may charge differently depending on whether the shop is in a metropolitan area and what type of glass was selected to be installed.

Filing a comprehensive insurance claim can help save on the quoted windshield prices. However, it may be worth paying out of pocket if you have a large deductible that’s higher than the quoted windshield price.

Other Important Chevy Impala Maintenance

It’s important to follow other suggested maintenance on a regular basis to ensure your safety while driving. Below are some examples of these additional services owners of a Chevy Impala should consider as routine.

History of the Chevy Impala

The Impala is a full-size car manufactured and marketed by Chevrolet. Since the first generation was released in 1958, eleven generations have been produced. Some models of the Impala are SS and Caprice Classic Brougham. The largest engine that has been offered in this vehicle is the 7.0L V8 engine; newer models use a 4.5L V6 engine. The car, throughout its evolution, has had a reputation for strong engines, comfortable seating, and high-quality interiors.

All Impalas have shared the same B platform since 1973 (which was previously used on the 1958–1960 full-size Chevrolet models), with major generational changes occurring in 1995 and 2009. In 2011, Chevrolet introduced the current version of the Impala in the form of a sedan. General Motors currently markets two vehicles under the Impala nameplate worldwide; both versions are identical within the United States and Canada, although marketing efforts differ between the two nations. The Caprice name was reintroduced into Australia with this generation for select government and fleet customers.

A production and sales success since its debut, the Impala has been one of the best-selling full-size sedans in the United States for much of its production history. It was named after an African antelope and a famous racehorse in 1958; each was considered fast, strong, and elegant: all traits which Chevrolet wished to convey with this new model.
